Miles Rozak has a blaster cannon hidden under his bed that he secretly built in his basement with plans downloaded from a spaceship that cratered in his back yard.

At night, he sneaks off into the woods, careful not to disturb his wife. In that dark landscape, the alien invaders spatter against the woodland trunks at the force of his cannon’s blasts.
